Radere / 11.13.2010: Live at Younglove’s
“A recording of my performance supporting Xela and Black To Comm at West Philadelphia vintage boutique Younglove’s. Comprised of live guitar looping, field recordings and processed percussion.” — Radere
« Radere is the nom du plume of Carl Ritger, a Philadelphia-based writer and sound designer. Inspired by the notions of stasis and chance, he has been exploring the fusion of acoustic sound sources and digital production techniques since 2003, pairing densely textured washes of sound with subtle rhythmic elements to hypnotic effect. — Soundcloud »
« Radere is the primary vehicle for my experiments with sonic ephemera. Inspired by the notions of stasis and chance, I’ve been exploring the fusion of acoustic sound sources and digital production techniques since 2003. My work largely avoids synthesis in favor of heavily processed organic loops, striking a delicate balance between densely textured washes of sound and subtle rhythmic structures; all burnished with found sounds and carefully sculpted distortions. — Carl Ritger »
